To make enquiries or to book a place on a day please contact: The Rev'd Andrew Hawes, Edenham Regional House, Church Lane, Edenham PE10 0LS Tel:01778 591358 edreghouse@tiscali.co.uk HOLY COMMUNION ON FRIDAY Every Friday there is a celebration of the Eucharist on the Stable Chapel at 12 noon. The service lasts around forty-five minutes and has an emphasis on quiet reflective prayer. It also includes a short talk on the day's scripture readings. This is followed by a bring and share lunch for those able to stay. There is no need to book just turn up. This service happens throughout the year except the last three Fridays in August and Good Friday. |

As you will have heard bells are a vital part of our village soundscape
calling all to worship and sending the praise of God into every nook
and corner. If you would like to learn there will demonstrations at
Edenham Garden Fete next week and at the Flower and Heritage Festival.
Or turn up on any Thursday at Edenham 7.30-pm 9.15pm to be shown the ropes!

THE EVERGREEN CARE TRUST - is looking to develop a small team of VOLUNTEER OFFICE SUPPORT STAFF at their Bourne & Stamford Offices.
Duties to include reception duties, answering the telephone, taking referrals, etc to support the Administrative Team. Those interested would need to commit to regular hours or day each week and should have basic computer and telephone skills. For more information please contact Kevin Vinter on 01780 765900. Link

REGIONAL HOUSE PROGRAMME DAYS OF REFLECTION: These days begin at 10.00 am and end at 4.00 pm. Lunch is provided. Please notify the house of any dietary needs. Suggested contribution is £12.50. (But participants can give more or less according to will or circumstances)........ June 2010 FRIDAY 4 TH JUNE: IS GOD A MATHEMATICIAN? The Revd Dr Tom Broadbent, a member of the Society of Ordained Scientists (who has a day job as Vicar of the South Witham Group) will explore both the comfortable and uncomfortable aspects of the relationship between science and the Christian Faith. FRIDAY 11TH JUNE FRIENDS' EVENING. The Regional House has a long established Association of Friends who support the house in many different ways. If you would like to know more please contact the house and we will put you in touch with the secretary Gill Goff. This year's annual Friends' Evening will be on Friday 11 th June. The usual midday Eucharist will take place and there will be an act of worship at 7.00pm followed by supper and a meeting. Please do book in. A perfect opportunity to introduce someone to the House.

July 2010 FRIDAY 9 TH JULY: THE DART OF LONGING LOVE: Andrew Hawes will introduce some of the insights and wisdom of the writer of the fourteenth century book on prayer The cloud of unknowing'. This down to earth description of an individual's relationship to God is a source of both wisdom and encouragement.
